Billing and Coding Specialist Program

This 50-hour program is designed to prepare the student to become a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist. Preparation includes classroom/online instruction from the National Health Career Association (NHA) and National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Theory classes may be held in the classroom/online setting.

Admission Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 18 years old 
  2. Must possess a valid California ID and Social Security Number
  3. Must have High School Graduation, GED, or higher educational qualification (Optional)
  4. Proof of Professional Liability Insurance and Personal Medical Insurance

Duration: 50 Hours (Theory & Clinical) 

Day Program: Tuesdays & Thursdays (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Method of Instruction: Classroom/Online/Hybrid

 

Fees: $1000 ($200 Non-Refundable Registration Plus $1000 Tuition)

Other Expenses (For student’s information only): Personal expenses, Books, Uniforms, and other accessories

Graduation Requirements:

Successful completion of 50 hours of training as per the College’s curriculum

Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, the students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to do the billing and coding in a medical office. Upon successful completion of the program, the students may receive a certificate of completion from the College. Testing is conducted by the National Health Career Association (NHA) and National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Students who complete the testing will receive a National Health Career Association and/or National Center for Competency Testing Certificate(s).
